Art, Words, Clastics*
Do While Studio 1999-2000
* Clastics is the art of making works from discrete pieces, as being
different from making art from commodities such as oil paint or clay.
(Clastic, adj. [Gr. klastos broken, fr. klan to break.] 1. Capable of
being taken apart, as to show internal structure; - applied to anatomical
models. 2. Made up of fragments of pre-existing rocks.)
Nota was the only non-holographer to receive a Cycle II Artist-in-Residency
grant from the Center For the Holographic Arts, NY. That work will take
place in April.
