How to use the HOTLINE CLIENT

1. Client download for Mac and PC

2. Install the Client

PC Installation Instructions

• Install the application by double clicking on the installer. Then pick a location to save the application and its contents. the default location for the pc Install is the C:/Program Files directory where it can be accessed regularly. Feel free to change the directory.
• Launch your Client by double-clicking the Client.exe (red H) file in your Hotline Client folder.
• Your Hotline Client toolbar will appear on your screen. The toolbar is your communications hub.

• Install the application by double clicking on the installer. Then pick a location to save the application and its contents. the default location for the Macintosh Install is the Macintosh HD directory where it can be accessed regularly. Feel free to change the directory.
• Launch your Client by double-clicking the Client application (red H) file in your Hotline Client folder.
• Your Hotline Client toolbar will appear on your screen. The toolbar is your communications hub.

3. Start Client

Set your Identity.

• To set your on-screen name, icon, display colours and other options, click Options.
• Enter your options.
• Click Save.

4. Get Started

• Click Servers. The Server communities window will appear.
• Click Refresh to see active communities. If there are no communities listed in the Server window, click Edit Tracker List.
• On the Tracker window, click Add Tracker. The New Account window will appear. In this window, you will need to list and enable Trackers.

5. CONNECT TO THE DO WHILE SERVER: 206.166.184.187

You'll see the connect dialogue after hitting cmd-k

All members should have recieved a login and password. If you did not receive one and are a current member, please contact the server's admin (jenhall@massart.edu). If you are not member, connect as a guest: leave the fields login and password empty.Members can upload files guests only can read.
